We had a lot of snow this week which Rosie loves. She likes to plow her snout through the snow as she sniffs. It is quite funny. Overall it was a great week. As Rosie has become more comfortable with Maverick, she really enjoys playing with him. She has a hard time coming when called in the midst of play time. For some dogs this is asking too much while other dogs are able to be recalled no matter the situation they are in. I always reward her with high value when she finally does come to reinforce the recall. I am hoping she will eventually be able to be recalled in the midst of play.
This week we reinforced touch and leave it a lot. Touch will be used as the bridge for her interruption training. She is able to touch my hand from a distance of a few feet which will be ideal for us to shape her ability to interrupt a night terror. We will begin this specialty training next week.
Overall Rosie is doing well. Like many dogs she loves to sniff and that drive can get her to pull a bit on her lead. She always returns to a heel when commanded though. Overall she is coming along nicely. She is a very smart and intuitive dog and a lot of fun to work with.

Any new training updates for Rosie? I love following her progress :)
