This week was a good week and Rosie is progressing along nicely. She is getting more comfortable with other dogs and her confidence is improving. We are tightening up her sit and heel a bit more to ensure she is near the handlers left leg when she sits. She is learning “under” and “out” but she is still not proficient in those commands. Her duration is getting better but she will break occasionally which is expected. Rosie still has her puppy brain it seems at times. She can become distracted and zone out. She also has a very good nose and loves to stiff the ground and air. When she catches wind of something it can take a second to regain her focus and attention.
Overall she is doing very well. Next week we will continue to work on all her CGC’s and we will start doing institutional walks. We will tighten up her “under” and “out” commands and introduce “place” and “stand.”
