Emery does well with "up" and "off" and we have been using a bed, retaining wall, and box platform. All we have to do is point to the platform and say "up" and she will jump up and face us, waiting for a command such as "sit" or "stay". When we say "off" she is now used to jumping off and heeling on our right side. This will be useful for going in or out of a vehicle and teaches her bed manners.
There have been days when we come back in from play at 2:00, take her out to potty at 2:50, 3:50, and 5:30, but she leaks urine in between these times with no water intake. We watch her water intake during play and cut it off 30 minutes before coming in so she can relieve what she has drank, but there are still problems.
She continues to show shyness and gets startled around new people. Generalizing has been successful with other trainers taking her for about 10 minutes while the handler leaves. No issues with new areas. Does not become startled around groups that give a round of applause. Emery has excellent duration while in a sit or down stay and keeps an eye on the handler. No issues leaving Emery with a stranger.
