Emery came in with low confidence and showed signs of distress. She was startled by lots of people and loud noises and was unsure of people approaching her. She did not take kibble or other high-value treats.

She knows the sit and stay commands and feels safe in her crate at night. While walking on a lead, she tends to stay behind a bit, so we worked on our engagement and treat placement too entice her to stay next to us.

For the handlers, getting used to having the dog on the right side was a learning curve, but we're getting the hang of it and Emery knows to stay on the right side. Every time she tried to go on the left we would stop and lure her to the right side. We worked a lot on eye contact and have been marking it with a positive "yes" followed by a good reward and head pet.

She responds very well to praise and pets as she is a pack driven dog. She did very well with her dinner trips, laying under the table and taking a nap with minimal interest in surrounding activities.

Elevator ride was successful and we praised and treated her during the single floor trip.
