Week 1:
This week is focused on bonding and getting Dallas familiar with her working area. At first she did not want to eat or go potty. After two days with us she started to get more comfortable and did go potty. On the third day, her food drive started to kick in a little bit. She was on low food intake for the first few days until she started accepting kibble from us as trainers. Dallas is showing a very calm temperament. She does seem to have a strong pack drive. She enjoys being around her trainers and engaging with them. Her highest reward is pets. We introduced the vest right away because she was getting too much attention from other residents. We do not want her soliciting attention when she is working. She plays really well with the Golden Retriever Enlo, but has little interest in the German Shephard Rhea. She has a good play drive, and seems to be very confident. Not easily startled by noises, although she does become curious and focuses in on things during her walks. Dallas enjoys being next to her trainers, especially on the bunks. We are teaching her proper furniture etiquette, which includes jumping ON and OFF on command.
