This week, we built on Charlie’s growing confidence by introducing the Touch command using both hands and a touch stick, helping him engage more actively with his trainers and reinforcing positive focus and attention. This new exercise encourages gentle, intentional contact that supports trust and communication between Charlie and his handlers.
In addition to the Touch command, we focused on solidifying foundational obedience commands including Place, Down, Sit, Come, and Stay. Training sessions were held in low-distraction environments to ensure Charlie feels secure while mastering these skills. He is responding well to consistent cues and positive reinforcement, showing improved reliability and engagement with each command.
We continue to see gradual progress in Charlie’s comfort around new people and environments. Trust remains a core component of his training, and his bond with primary trainers continues to strengthen, which is critical as we introduce more structured obedience work.
Overall, Charlie is demonstrating increased focus and willingness to participate in training. With ongoing patience and consistent practice, we are confident he will continue to develop both his behavioral skills and emotional resilience.
